Top Glass sponsors the “Glass House” at the Iuav University of Venice

Top Glass sponsored the construction of a new temporary pavilion, designed by University of Venice students and built entirely with TRIGLASS® structural profiles.
A very special temporary pavilion was created for the April 7 Open Day in the historic home of the Iuav University of Venice, the Tolentini garden. The pavilion is an innovative Glass House prototype. Furthermore it was designed by two Master’s Degree students who win an open design competition announced by the University for the event.
The most famous buildings of this type, from the Glass House of Mies van der Rohe to that of Philip Johnson and the Casa de Vidro by Lina Bo Bardi, used at least two materials: steel for horizontal structures and systems and glass for curtain walls. Whereas in Venice, only glass derivatives were used.

Thanks to the advice and sponsorship of Top Glass, Iuav, with the design assistance of architectural professors and students, conceived a product that enhances the aesthetic and structural potential of the TRIGLASS® fiberglass profiles.

TRIGLASS® structural profiles offer also outstanding ease of assembly and maintenance free performance compared to other materials such as wood or metal.
