Top Glass offers a complete range of products where fiberglass is the ideal material for meeting all technical requisites. In this application we have developed great expertise and a broad range of products, either standard or customized.

Top Glass sail battens are constant-section, non-tapered composite pultruded profiles. Only the round battens can be tapered by grinding.

There are five available sections in various dimensions, made of either polyester or vinylester resin: the former creates a white batten with standard characteristics; the latter offers enhanced corrosion resistance and durability, and increases stiffness by 5 - 10% (natural color). These battens are ideal for competition use.

The widths are carefully calibrated to ensure optimum insertion into the sail pockets.

For special applications, Top Glass can custom-produce battens to customer specifications. Battens of non-standard lengths may also be produced by request.
